WILSON AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH
Pastor George (Bro. Butch) and Carla Williams worked as full time Youth Directors from 1975 to 1976 at Wilson Avenue Baptist Church. On June 27, 1976 Bro. George was ordained by the church and the couple was commissioned as church planting missionaries to France. After 15 years of church planting in Paris, the Williams returned to the States and pastored churches in Ocala, Florida and west Mobile, Alabama. In July 2008 Wilson Avenue Baptist Church asked the Bro. Williams to come back as co-pastor with the goal of Bro. George becoming the Senior Pastor on September 1, 2010. The Williams have 3 grown sons, two of which live in Mobile and one who is stationed in Layton, Utah with the Air Force. Pastor Williams is an avid student, teacher and preacher of the Bible. His mission in life is to reach people with the salvation message of Christ and teach them to live for the Lord.
